Support for the projects lined up for the UPLB Centennial have started to come in. As of April 2007, the UPLB Foundation Inc. (UPLB-FI) reported that it has already collected US $7, 672 and P53,700.

Donors include Mr. Walderico Generoso, Drs. Ernesto and Polygena Tuazon, Mr. Bonifacio Runo, Mr. Allan V. Averion, Dr. and Mrs. Leo De Guzman, Dr. Eufrosina De Leon and Art Boado, Mr. Wennifredo and Elenita Reyes, Ms. Daniela Jose, Ms. Imelda Reyes Bibal, Ms. Salud Geronimo, Ms. Pamela Asis, Mr. Severino Vergara and the UPLB Alumni Association of America.

The campaign aims to raise P20 M for the Faculty Development Fund that will be used to award professorial chairs (P1.5 M for each chair), faculty grants (P750,000 for each college), and academic conference grants (from P 4,000 to P90,000 depending on the country where the conference will be held).

Scholarships for undergraduate (P94,000/student per year), masters (P 180,000 for two years), and doctorate (P 290,000) degrees will be given to underprivileged but deserving students. Part of the Centennial Celebration Fund is a Student Loan Fund of P10 M.

The Centennial Library and Academic Facilities Modernization Fund will allow UPLB to keep up with the developments in the sciences, social sciences, arts and information technology. P10 M will be used to upgrade research laboratories and acquire new computers and LCDs.

An estimated P2 B (Centennial Building Fund) will be allocated for construction, repair and maintenance of academic buildings and dormitories.

The Centennial Celebration Fund will include the UP Centennial Artists Endowment Fund (P10 M) and the UP Centennial Sports Endowment Fund (P5 M) to support programs for UPLB’s artists and athletes, respectively.

The Unrestricted Endowment Fund will finance other urgent needs not covered by the specific donations. Donations of a minimum of P5,000 may be made to this fund.
