UPLB has again dominated the licensure examinations conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in forestry, agriculture, and nutrition in July 2010. It registered the highest passing rate among the schools that had student taking these examinations, thus earning the recognition of being the top performing school offering these degree programs.

To be cited as top performing, a school must have had 50 or more students who took the licensure exam and at least 80 percent of these students must have passed. At 100 percent passing rate, only UPLB has been listed as a top performing school for agriculture. For nutrition, UPLB is also the only top performing school that obtained a 100 percent passing rate while two universities in Manila inked 93 and 83 percent passing rates. Moreover, UPLB inked a 95 percent passing rate and is the sole top performing school in the forestry licensure examination.

The national passing rates for these licensure examinations are: 36 percent (972 out of 2,689) for agriculture; 70 percent (476 out of 676) for nutrition; and 42 percent (151 out of 359) for forestry.
