Recipients of The Outstanding UPLB Alumni Award (TOUA) are alumni who made significant contributions over the last five years to address contemporary issues such as rural development, environmental protection and natural resources conservation, good governance, enterprise development and corporate governance, and technology development, among others. Likewise, The Nelia T. Gonzalez Alumni Service Award will be given to one or at most two alumni of UPLB who exemplify the ideals of alumni service to the University and their fellow alumni. Further, the recipient of The College Distinguished Alumni Association Award will be selected by the different college associations.

Any member of UPLBAA and the Screening and Awards Committee may nominate as many qualified alumni as possible using the UPLBAA nomination form. An endorsement by the concerned college or alumni chapter is also encouraged but not required.

The recipient of the 2010 Alumni Awards must be a UPLB alumnus in good standing, is not currently serving as officer or member of the Board of Trustees of UPLBAA or its chapters, and has no pending case or civil and criminal cases.

In order to qualify for the awards, the individual should be nominated through the submission of the following: proof of outstanding achievements, three copies of duly accomplished nomination form, three copies of description of the nominee's qualifications highlighting outstanding achievements (not more than 2 pages), updated curriculum vitae, and three black and white 2.5 x 2.5" ID photos attached to each of the nomination forms.
