Welcome to the UPLB Department of Economics (DE).

Instituted in 1986, the department was formed with the establishment of the Institute of Agricultural Development and Administration (IADA) on July 31, 1975 which became CDEM in 1978 and then CEM in 1987. DE offers curricular programs designed to provide future economists with the analytical and quantitative skills to analyze economic development and natural resource issues.
